Egg, chicken prices jump as bird flu spreads in U.S.
A rapidly escalating bird flu outbreak in the U.S. is contributing to a surge in egg prices. It is also threatening to raise prices on other poultry products in the coming months as deaths continue to mount.
Since February, highly pathogenic avian influenza has been detected in commercial and backyard flocks in at least 24 states, according to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Who are we?
Dunn Ave Poultry Farm started in 2019. It was a childhood dream of Oz Balci who grew up in a family farm with various animals and crop. When Oz settled in Jacksonville, he wanted to realize his dream and operate a small-scale poultry farm. Within a year, the farm has grown to be the only pasture raised chicken and eggs farm in Northside of Jacksonville to meet the changing food needs of Northside community. Currently Dunn Avenue poultry farm provides all pasture raised organic eggs to the community.
What is our purpose?
Our plans are to introduce local youth to a more sustainable organic farming by organizing educational visits by school children and parents. Anyone who wants to raise poultry firsthand can purchase 2 days old chicks with all different breeds. Dunn avenue poultry sells fresh chicken meat and eggs every day.
